Zeal Optics Salida Sunglasses

Situated at the base of the Sawatch Range of the Rocky Mountains along the banks of the Arkansas River, Salida has long been a gathering place for creatives and endurance athletes that march to their own eclectic beat. Inspired by these need to escape it all in your own way, Zeal’s new Salida sunglasses are built for speed with uncompromising style and function. 

This small-fit, full wrap sunglass is ready for whatever the day brings. Every nuance of the trail ahead is crystal clear through its plant-based Ellume Polarized lenses, while its Z-Resin frames, which are also made from castor-oil instead of petroleum are incredibly light and stay in place thanks to their proprietary ProFlex rubber hits on the temples and bridge. 

The Salida also features Zeal’s new adjustable ProFlex nose pads, so you can dial in the fit for every nose bridge, keeping them right where you want them, however long you stay out.

Our custom Digital Rx Lab ensures that you are getting the highest quality Rx lenses available. Camloc Hinge
Camloc is our custom two-stage hinge that helps prevent lens scratching by locking your temples in place whether they are open or closed. This keeps them from rubbing against the lenses when you’re not wearing them.

Adjustable Nose Pads
These three-dimensionally adjustable nose pads feature a durable wire core embedded in our award-winning ProFlex rubber, creating a custom fit for any bridge that will stay in place no matter how you put your glasses to the test.

Scratch Resistant Hardcoat
Our hardcoat adds a scratchresistant layer for maximumprotection against everyday wear.

Ellume Bio-Plastic Lens
Ellume Polarized is the world's first lens made using a plant-based bonding agent, thus replacing the petroleum-based bonder. With no compromise in the optical clarity or impact resistance, this lens is proof that environmental initiatives are not a deterrent to an incredible optical experience. Ellume lenses don't skimp on protection or prevention; you can rest assured that you will still be protected from UVA, B, and C as well as HEV light.

Z-Resin Bio-Plastic Frame
All of our frames are made from Z-Resin our proprietary plant-based material from Switzerland. Instead of crude oil our frames are made from the natural oils in the castor bean. In fact it's a perfect resource because it's an efficient fast-growing perennial that withstands drought and thrives on marginal lands.

Z-Lite Thin Injection
Z-Lite is our Z-Resin frame material that uses a thin injection process to allow for an ultra-lightweight sunglass frame for complete versatility no matter the activity.

Asian Fit Compatible
Our Asian Fit Sunglass Collection was tested and selected for those with high cheekbones, wider faces and lower nose bridges. This collection features a mix of flatter, wider frames, adjustable nose pads, longer temples and light-weight frames to ensure a perfect fit.
