Straight out of the Rush family, Scarpa 's RUSH POLAR GORE-TEX W is a women's winter walking boot designed specifically for the snowy season.Suitable for snow excursions and low-temperature snowshoe hikes, this high-cut model provides lasting protection from damp and cold, thanks to its combination of Gore-Tex Duratherm and PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco. Its high upper provides superior protection in the ankle area for better support, protection and comfort. This three-hook boot can also be used for arctic excursions, as it is equipped with a Presa sole that grips even on icy and snowy terrain.Laboratory-tested, it guarantees performance down to extreme temperatures of -20C.

• Upper: 1.7-1.9 mm southern Perwanger leather with waterproof, breathable, scratch-resistant surface and durability features. It incorporates superior protection in the ankle area for better support, protection and comfort.

• Autofit 3D cushioned collar: stabilizes the whole foot without pressure points, and wraps around the ankle as it moves.

• New Speed Lacing fastening system: uses a small, two-component lightweight steel and plastic part. The fastener, which extends towards the toe, is divided into two sections. The lower section, with eyelets, allows the laces to pass smoothly and adjust the fit in a single movement. The upper section features a lace lock that divides the tension zones of the binding, and hooks that allow the ankle to be progressively and safely wrapped.

• Gore-Tex Duratherm lining: optimum foot protection thanks to its highly insulating layer. PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco (100% recycl): synthetic, waterproof padding even in the wettest conditions. In addition to maximum protection against the cold, this combination ensures breathability, compressibility and softness.

• The Presa TRK-02 outsole is made of Supergum W : a high-performance winter compound that guarantees grip even on icy and snowy terrain. The pronounced heel and toe caps enhance braking on descents and grip on climbs.

• IKS (Interactive Kinetic System) technology, featuring 7 shock-absorbing zones (dmes): progressively and specifically supports the weight of our body during mountain activity.

FEATURES

• The Autofit 3D Collar uses stretch material and moulded foam to stabilize the entire foot without pressure points, keeping you comfortable, balanced and supported on uneven surfaces and tricky trails.
• A DST Frame (Dynamic Stabiliser Torsion Frame) gives the rear of the foot more stability and enhances torsion control, helping prevent you from twisting your ankle, reducing the risk of injury on your adventures.
• The Interactive Kinetic System, developed by Scarpa, simultaneously increases traction and enhances shock absorption further to give you a soft, gentle step and help prevent foot fatigue for longer adventures.

TECHNOLOGIES

• The upper of the boots is made with highly durable nubuck leather. It provides plenty of flexibility for the foot and abrasion resistance for protection - fantastic for wearing in rocky terrain or rough, dense environments with lots of undergrowth.
• Underneath the upper lies a fully waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort lining, keeping your feet dry and protected in our typically wet and boggy UK conditions.
• The midsole is made of dual-density compression moulded EVA, which provides lightweight cushioning under the foot and responsiveness, allowing you to feel more of the ground beneath you for precision on tricky scrambling routes.
• Keeping you firmly planted is a PRESA® rubber outsole with a high-grip and durable compound, a pronounced heel and deep hiking-oriented lugs, which helps you brake on descents and grip for climbs. The outsole works well in conjunction with the midsole to provide mechanical impact absorption for protection on solid ground.
