The Gea is a reliable, intuitive and comfortable alpine touring boot that makes all types of mountain terrain perfect for winter adventures.

Features

• Cuff: The new cuff guarantees structure and lightweight support, thanks to strategically placed reinforcement ribs that allow for a great fit while still maximizing performance. The cuff is designed to effectively integrate the Speed Lock XT ski-walk mechanism.
• Liner: The Intuition thermoformable liner guarantees a precise, yet comfortable fit. Intuition liners ensure feet are kept warm and comfortable during extended use, without pressure points.
• Construction material: The cuff and the shell are made of Pebax® Rnew, a renewable, natural material derived from castor oil, which guarantees prolonged flexibility at low temperatures, high resistance to cold impact and excellent energy return.

Characteristics of the locking system:

• The Wave closure system, made exclusively for Scarpa, offers the security of two-buckle closure strength without adding extra weight

• HRS strap keeps the heel in place

• Axial Alpine Evo Construction: Creating the best in ride comfort for the climb and powerful responsiveness for the descent, this unique Scarpa design gives you the best of both worlds. Forefoot and cuff buckles, combined with the instep strap, allow you to easily adjust the volume, locking the foot securely for descent and being able to quickly open the boot to allow a natural stride on climbs
  

Sole characteristics:

• Vibram Cayman PRO outsole. Made with TOP85 compound that offers great durability and grip. Conforms to DIN ISO 9523 and all TLT fasteners on the market

• Smooth rubber toe cap for a perfect fit to bindings

• Rubber profile reduces the amount of snow that can accumulate under the outsole

• Rubber heel with prominent profile

• The Intuition lining is thermoformable and ensures a warm, precise and comfortable fit. Ensures feet stay warm and comfortable during prolonged wear, with no pressure points
