The new 3-Star ITTF champion is the new top competition ball from Schildkroet and the only and legitimate successor to what is probably the most famous table tennis ball of all time, the "Schildkroet 3-Star Super". A competition ball with tournament approval by the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation ITTF), it can be played at all official tournaments.

This new Champion 3-Star competition ball from Schildkroet is now celluloid-free; the Super 3-Star as a predecessor was still made of celluloid. As early as July 2014, the classic celluloid balls will gradually be replaced by the new plastic/poly balls in tournaments.
Today plastic balls have absolutely comparable playing properties and an identical quality and durability. However, they are much more environmentally friendly in production, which is why the changeover was initiated by the ITTF. The plastic balls can be recognised by the + behind 40 (40 stands for the diameter). So 40+ is always a plastic/poly ball for all manufacturers.
Like its predecessor, the Schildkroet Champion 3-Star ITTF is one of the best competition balls ever Box of 3, white colour, black stamp. Incidentally, Schildkroet's table tennis ball production goes back a long way. The so-called blow-press method was developed by Schildkroet in Mannheim as early as 1896, and the balls are still manufactured today other brands are as connected to the table tennis ball as Schildkroet.
