About the role

Altimus Outdoor is London’s destination for premium outdoor and performance wear. We’re seeking professional, customer-focused Retail Security Guards to protect our people, customers, and product — while contributing to a calm, welcoming shopping experience.

What you'll do

• Deter theft and loss through visible presence, situational awareness and proactive engagement.
• Greet customers and support a safe, friendly store environment, act as a brand ambassador.
• Monitor CCTV and conduct regular floor/walk‑through patrols; escalate concerns appropriately.
• Respond to incidents (suspicious activity, first‑aid support, emergency evacuations) following store procedures.
• Work with store management on loss‑prevention plans, staffing awareness, and incident drills.
• Complete accurate reports (incident logs, witness statements, evidence handling) and liaise with police where required.
• Opening/closing & key‑holding duties as rostered; ensure premises are secure.
• Support events (product launches, VIP evenings) with queue management and access control.

What you'll bring

• Frontline SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence (valid and in date).
• Retail security experience preferred (fashion/outdoor environment a plus).
• Confident, calm under pressure with excellent de‑escalation and communication skills.
• Professional standards: punctuality, integrity, clear reporting, and GDPR awareness.
• Right to work in the UK; reliable availability including some weekends/late trade.
• Desirable: First Aid at Work; CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) SIA; languages (Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian).

Hours & patterns

• Full‑time: typically, 40 hours/week on a rotating roster (incl. some weekends).
• Part‑time: flexible shifts to suit availability (min. 16–24 hours/week ideal).
