Salary: £28,000–£34,000 per year (DOE)

About the role

Join the Altimus team in Kensington and help customers discover the best in outdoor and performance wear. We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer‑focused teammates who thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment and love solving problems for people.

What you'll do

• Welcome and assist customers with friendly, expert service across footwear, apparel, and accessories.
• Share product knowledge and current promotions; recommend the right fit and kit for ski, hike, run and lifestyle.
• Process transactions accurately (till, card payments, returns/exchanges).
• Keep the shop floor immaculate: replenish stock, size runs, displays and windows.
• Support merchandising and in‑store events/campaigns.
• Work as one team to meet daily/weekly sales targets and KPIs.

What we're looking for

• Retail or customer‑service experience (outdoor/ski industry a plus).
• A friendly communicator who enjoys helping people and working in a team.
• Numeracy for cash handling and basic POS confidence.
• Languages (nice to have): Arabic, French, Spanish, or Italian.
• Weekend and seasonal flexibility.

Requirements

• Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience: Retail sales 1 year (preferred); Customer service 1 year (preferred).
• Work location: In person (Kensington, London W8 7RG).
