Quality Assurance Test Manager
Location: Kensington, London (on‑site)
Type: Full‑time
Start: Immediate (rolling interviews)
About the role
Join our growing Digital & E‑commerce team as a Quality Assurance Tester. You'll safeguard the online shopping experience end‑to‑end—testing, documenting, and helping ship reliable features across our e‑commerce website and internal systems (stock, POS integrations, order fulfilment). You’ll also coordinate day‑to‑day with our offshore development team to keep releases smooth and on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document tests for new features, fixes, and content updates across web and back‑office tools.
- Regression, smoke, and exploratory testing ahead of each release; maintain risk‑based test coverage.
- Usability & accessibility checks; validate journeys from discovery to checkout and returns.
- Cross‑browser/device validation (Chrome, Safari, Firefox; iOS/Android) via real devices and cloud farms.
- Defect lifecycle management: reproduce, log with clear steps/evidence, prioritise, and verify fixes.
- Test automation ownership: create/maintain automated suites for e‑commerce flows (e.g., PDP→Cart→Checkout) and internal apps.
- Release coordination: liaise with offshore developers, content, and stakeholders; run go/no‑go checklists.
- Data & integrations testing: APIs, webhooks, payment gateways, search, and inventory feeds.
- Monitoring & quality gates: contribute to alerts/dashboards, define acceptance criteria, and improve QA processes.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in software or web QA (retail/e-commerce preferred).
- Strong analysis & troubleshooting skills; comfortable isolating issues in complex flows.
- Hands-on with manual and automated testing.
- Familiar with some of the following (or similar):
- Cypress / Playwright / Selenium, Postman (API).
- JMeter/k6 (performance).
- BrowserStack/Sauce Labs (devices).
- Git/GitHub, CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Experience with issue tracking and agile rituals (e.g., Jira, stand-ups, sprint reviews/retros).
- Clear written communication; able to coordinate with offshore teams across time zones.
- Detail-oriented and proactive; champions a “shift-left” quality mindset.
- Immediate availability preferred; right to work in the UK required.
Nice to have
- Basic scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python) for test automation.
- Understanding of SEO, web vitals, and accessibility (WCAG).
- Experience with payment gateways, order management, or POS integrations.
What you'll get
- Competitive salary (DOE).
- Impact across high‑traffic, seasonal retail peaks (winter/ski).
- Supportive team, clear ownership of QA roadmap.
- Staff discount & company pension.
- Learning budget for tools/certifications relevant to QA.
