Altberg Mallerstang Extra Wide Width Mountain Boot

The Altberg Mallerstang is a superb classic leather mountain walking boot. The fitting and comfort are excellent. The leather is a 2.8mm full grain cullate Anfibio - and the boot will take a flexible walking crampon but not a rigid climbing crampon. The sole is Vibram - deep cleated for enhanced traction with a PU shock absorbing mid layer. The Tri-Flex midsole is an Alt-Berg design and is only used in Alt-Berg boots. All boots are built on the midsole - it is the foundation of the boot. The midsole controls the underfoot support, the toe spring and the flex of the boot.

SIZE & FITTING ADVICE

XN - We don’t normally sell extra narrow by mail order or online, only when a customer has previously worn Altberg boots or is sure of their fitting. 

N - If you have narrow feet, then we suggest that you keep with your normal shoe size.

M - For medium feet we suggest that you go up ½ a size on your SHOE size – this will allow for a thick sock with the boots. 

W - For wide feet we suggest that you go up ½ a size on your SHOE size – this will allow for a thick sock with the boots.

XW - We don’t normally sell extra wide by mail order or online, only when a customer has previously worn Altberg boots or is sure of their fitting.
